Great event! We had some chaos, some horror, and that's just Nawen being normal. Add your DMIng on top of it and it was an excellent, highly cinematic adventure. Will love this quote forever: Verossa : [Talk] *Shae couldnt be more glorious in battle, even if she was a Valokian*

Kudos to Pleth for the amazing area building she did for a crossover guild event last night! The event and the areas were truly epic! Of special note was the waterfall room at the end of the event... You'd just have to see and hear it. Very well played and designed Pleth!

Hate to bounce on my own thread,

But i though i would let you guys know, I am retiring.
Honestly, i should have done it two years ago, but its hard to let go sometimes

I have a plethora of reason for this, but mostly its cause im getting old/health/RL , you know, that old chestnut <[8)
We have a great team, and I feel I can ~finally~ step aside, and not stress the World will not be cared for, with gusto !

And im grateful for that
I will miss most of you!

Game on !
And thanks for all the fish

xx

:megaeek:

But seriously, wishing you all the best for health and happiness and 100% expect you are still going to be about playing and (hopefully?) DMing for fun!

You've left really big shoes to fill, Pleth, and a huge reason Avlis is as awesome as it is is because you've been willing to fight for it, manage it, and nurture it.

You've done more for this world than anyone. Brought it back from ashes and turned it back into something great.

You owe us nothing, but the community owes you more than we can ever let you properly know.

Thanks for all you've done. Retirement is always bittersweet. It's the end of an era and change and letting go is never easy. Enjoy your retirement! It's so very well deserved.

*80's movie slow clap, to full standing ovation*

What can I say Pleth, other then you're the best! Thank you for all the stories, and everything else that you've given to Avlis. I hope you will continue to lurk on the boards and discord, and mostly, I hope to see you in game having a blast! I wish the best for you in RL, with your health, with your life, with your love. Thank you. Yes. Thank you for everything.

Love,
~Ezekiel

So long and thanks for all the fish :umarmen:

You've done so much, too much to mention, for Avlis. I'm pretty sure that for many you have been one of the biggest reasons to stick around, and correct me if i'm wrong but for a few years you seem to have almost singlehandedly kept it going. Dishing out savory dishes on a shoe string budget 😄

I hope RL treats you well. Health issues are a bitch and require a lot of thought and effort, and it needs prioritizing 🤙

I also agree the team is looking real strong atm, and probably a good a time as any to let the wand rest ✨

Pleth, your presence on the other side of the curtain will certainly be missed by the entire player base. The intricate and exciting stories you weaved and the enjoyment you brought to us month and month, year after year will be hard to duplicate.

Thank you for all you've done for Avlis.

So Avlis is where I met my husband and the father of my child. It's the place where things have happened I still tell stories about decades later. It's a thing I do with one of my best friends in the world, and a place that's still carrying the impressions of people I cared deeply about who are no longer with is.

There've been long stretches I've been gone, but when I've come back it's always been here.

Everything I've been given to understand says without you, Pleth, the lights would have gone out.

Thank you, immensely, for what you've done here.

I don't have any response that would convey it appropriately. Thank you for all that you have done for Avlis, its community and the real people behind the characters.

You are loved by more than the nature of your words, your voice and stories live on in the fiber that is Avlis
When I first met you I was terrified, your story was that good.
You taught me how to live in a world that likes to tear you down.
You gave me courage when I only wanted to hide.
Now you ask for rest.
I know even though you back away into your sanctuary. You will always be with us.
Your stories live on
The next adventure of your life begins.
I know you will Rock it hard!
Do come and play with us every once and awhile right? <3

Thank you is not sufficient for the level of happiness I have in my life because you took a step of courage and faith and invited me back to Avlis.

Thanks for not deleting that invitation to return even though it sat unread for I'm not sure how many years.

Because of you I was allowed to return, and with that return I also met and fell in love with my husband (and now we're parents), found friends I thought lost forever, made new friends who will be lifetime friends, and became a DM which re-ignited my passion for storytelling.

My life literally changed forever because you loved and cared for a stranger in the internet.

I hope you get to play now, but if you move on to other things too, you know how to reach me, for this is not goodbye forever!

Love and Hugs. Blessings and Best. :liebe: :liebhab: :prost:

Everyone has said all I could say, and I can only echo, loudly, that they have written.

So I echo and re-echo and loudly proclaim, Thank You. And thank you for all the quietly done, softly spoken grace notes that added so much to interactions.

Thanks, for ypur effort all these years keeping Avlis chugging along through these tough times getting the world back on its feet post EE. Good luck with the time away from Avlis I'm sure you will miss it. I wasn't able to make as many of your hidden events as I wanted to but I'm sure they were just as amazing as the ones from the days when they were open to all. Thanks for everything and every effort you gave for Avlis we appreciate it.
