And your point is...

Maybe it's time for an update of the poll.

The last one was like two week ago. I doubt much has changed since then.

As any good bard xandor crosdresses sometimes, there were even new rules implemented to keep xandor from joining the warrior maidens ;)

I played a female character once as my main a long time ago on Everquest. Since people in game assumed I was a woman IRL, I didn't see any reason why I shouldn't act the part. It was just easier that way.

Suffice to say, it got really weird, so I switched mains to a male, and have never gone back. It feels so much more natural for me playing a character of my same sex.

Also, it was rough playing a female char on Everquest. I imagine it would be 10x as rough here with the heavy roleplay of the server. In fact, I even have a hard time saying anything 'sexual' like nice buns or something. Maybe it's all of this California PC bombardment. So I'd imagine RPing a female would be that much harder.

I've only played a female char once in RPG's and that was on EverQuest aswell.

I found playing a female strange, but... I got plenty of equipment given to me by horny blokes.

Sweet.

yeah.. heh.. last time I played a female I was constantly being bombarded by massive exp cookies, had several custom items named after my character by the time I was level 12, and was mistress of some castle.

finally I couldn't take it anymore because it was like... too easy... too much attention... too much merciless taunting from my fiancee about my IG boyfriend

I play same sex (i.e., male) characters, except for my half-ogress character. I have found that people get over the "run its an ogre!" thing (which I assume is a product of the static model) faster if your character can call itself a half-ogress. Otherwise, it is tougher to get acceptance of RPing a halfway intelligent half-ogre - they are half human after all. This is just my experience and may, of course, reflect a limited time trying to RP male half-ogres before giving up and trying this approach.

Yeah I play a male and I think it makes things a bit more easier if you meet someone IG and the person behind it is of the opposite sex

Why should it matter unless you've cybered like rabbits or intend to carry an IC relationship to IRL too...

Actually, tell me no more!
