Sydney meet Monday 5 December

Post by Jhevon » Wed Nov 30, 2005 3:14 am

Anyone interested in say dinner and drinks at the Bourbon in Kings Cross this Monday night from around 8:30 pm? Convin will be over from Denmark, Josh up from Kogarah, and me from NZ; we'd love to see you there!

((Gairus, you still lurking? ...))

[edit: or I'm guessing that you guys aren't around that long? I know convin is .. but everyone else? ]

I'd love to, it's a crappy night I know but the only one I'm ever in Sydney (I always arrive late Sunday night and fly out Tuesday arvo unfortunately, when I come for work).

You should organise an alternative meet though as well for those that can't make this one? There must be enough Aussie Avlissians now to fill a football stadium?

:)

*lol* yeah.. but most of the Sydney/Canberra crew have known each other for years. Was looking forward to meeting everyone else. Nevermind - might just have to blow off work and come anyway.

oh sure. Go organise a meet with them when you can't even be bothered driving to Ham.

Bah, you blew ME off remember!

How does any time in between 26 December and 6 January suit; I'll be on leave then and able to get baby-sitters (which is the real issue, and one I don't have to contend with when I fly to Sydney ;))

:P

yep Monday night is a bad night. How late on sunday night are we talking? catch an earlier flight and I'll whisper sweet nothings in your ear...

True, but we wouldn't have you there to feed us charteruse watchamacallits all night.

A warning though, somewhat crazy things can happen when Oz Avlisians get together...I have photos *winks at Jhevon*

GE: I could do it Sunday 4 December if that's the only night you can make it, but not realistically before 9:00 - 9:30 pm (plane tickets already bought, Connie's only in town that week)

Pleth: Next trip is my last one until January. Poo :(

when in sydney i travel every working day from cabramatta to the city and havent seen any trouble in 5 years, so more likely you will get pack mauled from westies from mount druitt lol

seriously though, its not that bad getting a train these days, i hear some of them transit officers can occasionally be effective. but that may just be all talk *looks around for jedi sniper....* :P

as for you phil, you will keep

Hmm.. I honestly don't know if I'll be there. Seriously doubt I can get Monday off work to travel back to Canberra.

In any case, I'm sure Phil will tell me everything when he gets home.

*a lone Priest of Oma stumbles into the order and begins to scribe away once more. He feels light headed from too little sleep instead of the amber ale consumed*

Just wanted to thank you Jhevon for taking the time to come out with us last night. It was great to listen about Avlis from your prospective and get a better understanding of all the work that is done giving an insight into the challenging role of a DM. It was also a real treat just to put a face to the name.

Hope you dont have to get up too early too!

Cheers Josh
