Holy Avenger (the weapon prop)

Post by Brayon » Thu Nov 24, 2005 1:00 am

I know in PnP Holy Avenger was a Paladin exclusive weapon, but how does it work with NWN?

Just wondering....

+5 enhancement, dispel on hit, d6 divine damage for a paladin.

+2 enhancement otherwise.

Or something like that.

Also in PnP, a character with enough ranks in UMD can fool the sword into thinking the wielder is a paladin — is this true of NWN too?

Thanks for the quick response. I was fooling around in the toolset, and made one, and didn't see what it did.

its so hard to see :( just shows Holy Avenger (temporary)
and hey, i give myself props for actually being able to get that to happen with toolset tinkering. My first toolset tinkering it took me an hour to edit a character creation mod with a simple sword on the floor.

No dispel on hit, the divine damage is vs. evil only and it grants SR 16.

I also tried it with a char. that has a ~40 UMD and he couldn't fool the sword... just a +2.

There is a dispel on hit.

Watch Thror bash mages with his maul

and you can't UMD it :(

Maybe a different Holy Avenger then because the Holy Avenger in the toolset does not have dispel on hit.

Enhancement Bonus [+2] (for when it's not in the hands of a pally) and Holy Avenger.

The toolset HA property definitely has dispel on it. My Paladin has a great axe HA and it dispells like woah.

Okay not like woah, but in avlis you might not notice the dispells that much because of how it was changed to reflect caster levle.

Wierd. Is it all undead or only cetain types? Is it level dependent? I tried the Holy Avenger with a level 1 paladin against skeletons and a ghoul and there was no dispelling. I am also running v1.65 on this machine, so that might make a difference.

You guys are confusing the spell vs. The sword.

The spell gives +5, dispel on hit, 1d6 divine damage

Doesn't matter anyway...since Holy Avenger as a property is on the "never drop ever" list.

*looks up*

Then it's a good thing this is in the NWN General Discussion forum and not The Avlis Project: General Discussion one.
