Gamespy ID vs CD Key
Just a quick question to the masses. When we log in, are our characters (our personal vault) tied to our Gamespy ID, our CD keys, or both?
In other words, is it possible to change your Gamespy ID and still access characters created under another ID?
*thinks the answer is no*

no. its the gamespy that has the character. the CDKey is irrelevant

they can only access the characters that were created under the specific gamespy. to access one of the others they have to log in with that gamespyDarkHawk wrote:Im pretty sure you can. theres lots of people around with numerous alts who use more than one GS ID.

Transfers aren't done unless there's a very good reason. Requests of that type need to go to staff@avlis.org

You should never login with the characters of a different ID. If you do find someone else's character in your vault, do not be tempted to use it. Please just report it - to staff@avlis.org.
You can get into a lot of trouble for doing that
Alternatively, if you do have an alternative login ID, then it is possible that you might login and find the wrong set of characters. I am not going to explain how. If this happens, logout and back in again - you will probably find the correct set of characters for the ID you are using then.

Life is never as bad as you think it is, although that doesn't help at the time.
