Database please dont go nuts!

Post by Havoulov » Mon Aug 08, 2005 8:27 am

Could be a bug but i will report it as such untill i see others that had simillar problems.

1) Once a while ago I used a loaded sawhorse in dwarf trade which resulted in me getting somebody elses "favored list". minor inconvenience though. ..

2) once a craftable command "load raw material" is used and no material of the like in the craftable exist in inventory, ALL craftables are unable to load materials untill server reset! I can only speak about my character of course, which i guess is an inventory instability... typical to try in the sawhorse in zvidureth where the old dwarf has forgotten an ancient wood piece in the sawhorse!

3) at least two people have experienced crafting experience loss from the database... might have to do with point one?

I was starting to wonder why potions that should be "Trivial" are now "Easy to me. Strangely enough, I hadn't noticed I was missing around 1000 until now. Could have been the boat, who knows.

Not noticed , in fact I havnt lost any xp, but favourites are sometimes wiped or indeed I have favourites I have never crafted.

Like you say minor problem, but if loosing xp thats erm , more of an issue....

Jumping servers caused me to lose vast amounts of crafting exp in the past. I just sort of thought it was a known issue being worked on and did not jump servers when working on it.
