Newb crafting. . . etc.

Post by uaioe » Sat Apr 09, 2005 9:48 pm

Hello all,

I have only been playing on Avlis for a coupl'a weeks now, and I was wondering if there was a book one could buy from a merchant that would have recipes for some crafting. I also was wondering if there was a way to track skills like sewing (since I did figure out how to make cloth)

Any help would be appreciated. . .

BTW: I play in CST in the evenings, my main is Baloth Half-tusk, a 3rd lvl half-ogre fighter. . . send a tell if you wanna adventure.

You can pick up a Book of Tradeskills at a number of merchants. This will keep track of your xp in the various skills.

As far as formulas are concerned: you'll have to discover them all IG from other PCs.

Welcome to Avlis, and good luck. :)

Heh, just to try to avoid a common misconception: The tradeskills book will access your craft XP list from the database. The book itself does not store any information. If you lose/sell/give away/eat your tradeskills book, you can simply buy another one and use it instead.

People usually end up thinking that the book itself stores their craft XP. Always best to avoid that sort of error. :D

Half-ogre's don't craft (especially sewing), they fight. Come to Mikona, there's a group of lowbies that have been going off in the evenings when people can get on.

Recipes need to be discovered in game, you can learn alot from just asking around at various gathering places. There are also guilds where you can learn your crafting skills.

And please, dont anyone sell him that recipe book thats floating around from Rockhome, okay? None of those recipes work here, and wouldnt want to hear some people are getting fleeced for it. *glares*
