Could anyone please explain to me the difference between:
plot/placeable
Persistance (display) and
Persistance

i'm a bit confused when it came to calculating exactly what i needed/wanted to purchase for my house. :?

Plot is when something is made indestructible.

Persistance is when a chest or container of some kind is made so that things you put in it don't disappear after a crash.

Persistance (display) is the same as normal persistance, with the addition that other players can look at it but not take anything from it, making it ideal for displaying wares if you're a merchant, thus the name. :)

Remember usauly no off world items can be stored in a chest with persistance.

Further, plot refers only to objects that you can click on that are indestructable. If you make an object static (no interaction, becomes part of the background) it is indestructable, but it doesn't count as plot. You should only make two things plot: Doors you don't want people to bash down, and chests you don't want people to break into.

As for indestructable static objects, they all fall under the generic 'furnashings' part of the spreadsheet.

You mean I didn't have to put all those static placeables into the chests/placeables section of that spreadsheet?!

Correct. Static placeables are all considered furnishings. The furnishings setting (high-medium-low) is supposed to be an estimate of the cost of all those static placeables.
