Client and server not the same?

Post by Vrellum » Sun Jan 02, 2005 12:53 am

I'm trying to run NWN on avlis for the first time, specifically elysia and I get the error message that the client and server versions are different. I have the platinum edition which contains the original and the two expansions and all are installed. I also installed the ced and hak files. Does anybody know what's wrong?

Sounds like you've updated to 1.65. Avlis is currently running 1.64

You need to update to 1.64. Right now that is a bit of a hassle as you have to update to 1.65 and then use the rebuild thing made available by bioware to then downgrade to 1.64.

Edit: Dammit Krator, couldn't you jus thave kept that locked some dark place?

You know, every time i read that "advice" i find it more rude. Specially when directed at newbies in his first post, there are ways to suggest using the search function without making an arse of yourself.

*sighs* Nobody else is gonna do it, so...

Welcome to Avlis (almost), Vrellum. We will enjoy seeing you in game, once you get there, even if some of us don't seem so welcoming on the boards. We are a very nice and helpful community, and I'm sure you will come to forgive our flaws, in time.

What Dralix said. You are either running version 1.63 (the version that comes with the Platinum edition) or you have patched and are now running 1.65 (which Avlis is not on yet.)

For the correct patch version, you can go here: http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch.html.

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Welcome to Avlis!
