Observations of a New Player

Post by Shackson » Tue Nov 30, 2004 7:17 am

Having just started a new character on the Alvis server I just wanted to give credit to what seems a very impressive development team and player base.

The strong in-character role-playing is refreshing and I like the fact that I am going to have to get to know the place well before even gaining my first level (albeit with the occasional moment of frustration.)

Welcome to the game, Shackson, and see you about :) Keep an eye out for Sand... send me a Tell and I'll be happy to drag you along on an adventure somewhere :)
Be mindful of the prayers you send
Pray hard but pray with care
For the tears that you are crying now
Are just your answered prayers

It'll be a grand adventure if you do !

If you need any crafting advice, just ask your local follower of the

I know if I was on the battlefield and I got hit by a pile of shit... I'd probably go home.

Adventuring with Sand.. yes, fun :D

Party of around ten go down in the spider cavern. I remember staring at Sha half the time because he was the first lizard I ever saw.

My personal Sand adventure included..

1) Sand polymorphing into an Iron Golem and being the receiver of a ton of jokes

2) At the end Sand turning into a Balor/Pit Fiend to scare some PC's he saw somewhere If that would have happened to my character she would have run until she was in Ferrell

3) A joke was made that I remember everytime I come to that area. Party walks onward and a poison trap is triggered. We stop. I believe it was Lillith who said "Sand, please don't take your shoes off". He was standing right in the centre of it and the green cloud nicely spread from him. I laughed my ass off :D

I just joined yesterday, and I have to say, stumbling into Hargas in Elysia resulted in one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a while, PnP or CRPG. Well done, everyone!

You were quite lucky to stumble upon Hargas, ESPECIALLY after only a day! Congratulations.
