Passwords and servers

I might be a newbo to this place, but I do have eight years of creating UNIX passwords for the company I work for. So, tonight when I took the boat to Elysia, I had to log off shortly after I go there for personal reasons. About an hour later I tried to log into Elysia and it said incorrect passoword. I know the passwords are Case and I type them the way they appeared on the email I recieved for Avlis, but the only password I have gotten to work on Avlis is Mikona. A fine city, but not the perfect place for an evil elf that might want to take out a few humans. I have since been banned for to many attempts with a wrong password and am waiting for the reset. What I am wondering is why is it when I type the passwords as they appear on the email I get incorrect password? The only way I have been able to travel is to take the boat and return to Mikona before I end the game. I have seen a lot of post about this topic and they all seem to focus on either being a "newbo" or "your just not getting it right". I have retyped the passwords and even did the quicklinks and took out the extra spaces it inserted and still nothing works. In all my time working with passwords, I have never had as much trouble as Alvis is giving me. It shouldn't be this hard...

It's possible you were trying to get in when the server was resetting. The Team changes the password while the server resets, so people can't login. Usually, if you know you've gotten the password right, it's a good idea to wait about 5 minutes before trying to login again.
