Spell durations?

Post by myzmar » Tue Aug 24, 2004 8:09 am

Can someone explain me how the spell duration works in NWN. If I have a spell with 1 minute/level duration, its 1 real time minute? same for 10 minutes/level? And 1 hour per level, thats the game time now?

How much is 1 game hour? 1 round? 1 turn?

Thanks, anyone
If I ever edit a post it most probably cause of the typos. I make a hell lot of them when I write.

From what I could figure a game hour is approx 15 mins... Didn't time exactly though.

Might be 16, therefore 4 mins to 1 hr.

I think the ones that say 10 mins per level are 1 turn, and that Bioware farked it... and those that say 1 min per level are RL time, but it has always confused the shit out of me too :?

Keen to hear what the actual answers are though.

1 hour: 4 minutes in Avlis, 2 minutes in standard NWN
1 turn: 1 minute
1 round: 6 seconds

About the spells that last 10 minutes/level, the duration seems to be 2 turns per caster level. Not sure about all of them, though (tested with keen edge some time ago).
