Details on AA Hail of Arrows Feat?

Post by Arond » Thu Jun 03, 2004 7:04 pm

Just wondering if anyone has figured out the mechanics on the 8th level AA special ability (I think it's called hail of arrows or something like that). I tried it once and it appears to shoot one arrow per AA level at everything on the screen (as expected). Seems like each one has a separate to hit roll (I'm guessing with my first attack value). But, when I looked at the damage messages, some seemed to have +4 magical added (from my AA bounus I'd assume), but others did not seem to have it. Also, seems like no sneek attack, criticals, elemental damage is added either.

No big deal, but it's a pretty cool ability and I wanted to know if anyone had figured out exactly how it worked. Thanks in advance for any info anyone has on this.

I think you've pretty much noted everything that I've learned about it.

its 1 arrow/level, you don't get a choice in targets, it will pick the 8 for you---this can be interesting if you are in the FOM or another place where enemeis spawn at a distance---trigger this and you might very well hit one in each group on the map and find yourself swarmed.

Doesn't this save time though, no having to run all over the map looking for the groups. You have it easy and have them all come to you. :)

Yea, I was thinking it seems to be a useful feat for getting all those pesky critters close in to the groups fighter-types where they can be taken care of. Use the ability, and then duck to the rear :)
