The admins are probably doing server maintenance. When they don't want to spend all their time trying to tell folks to log off, they change the password instead. It saves them time and trouble.

it's called a server restart!!

when you see a message from the server saying "Server Restarting. Log off now." you're supposed to feking log off...

don't worry bout it... just consider yourself lucky that no one decided to take advantage of your PC while you were AFK considering I gave a 5 minute warning.. if you're going to be AFK for that long, I would suggest logging off..

We try to give lots of warnings before restarting servers. Sometimes it gets a little frustrating when people don't listen to the warning/requests... just to provide a little context. I know I usually give 5 minutes' warning, and make around 6-8 announcements in all, and yet there are always a few people who don't take notice. Now, some people are AFK, and some are busy fighting and don't see the messages, but when I've been warning repeatedly for some time, I'm ready to restart and don't want to have to keep waiting... all this server maintenance takes a lot of work, and I want to be able to move on to something else. Anyhow, now you know. ;)

You leave your computer for that .. Oh, I've rigged up this little bottle thing its ... er.. perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned that

Only joking .. seriously though, is it a problem if someone doesn't log off - I thought it was only an inconvinence for the player (e.g. because you might log back into the middle of somewhere unsafe, etc.)... does it affect the maintence as well (e.g. you have to manually boot people off before you can shutdown the server)?!
