Toolset copy and paste not working

Started using a new computer a few months back, I've been running NWN from the ssd hard drive from the old pc plugged into the new. While using the Toolset the copy/paste function isn't working, any thoughts why that would happen and how to fix it without having to re-install the entire thing?

Are you referring to copy and paste of items/objects in the Area map using the Edit menu? Or are you referring to copy/paste of text in scripts by using the CTRL+C / CTRL+V ?

If it's copying items and objects, then you likely have a video card driver issue on your new computer. Also, if you are using a new version of Windows, double-check that you have Win XP SP3 compatability set on the toolset executable (actually do it on all of the executables) and that you are running it with Administrator privileges. Putting that old disk into your new computer will likely change/lose your compatability settings, so you'll want to check/update them regardless.

I did the copying my of NWN across several builds over the past decade and picked up lots of little eccentric ticks. Recently did a reinstall trying to fix one of those eccentric ticks and it fixed them all.

I've always been able to use ctrlc/ctrlv to create copies of placeables. Not sure why the video card would be the cause of a placeable item not being created, even if I could not see it happen it should show up in the items list. I'll change the settings how you suggest and see how that works.
