Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale

Post by Cougar » Sat Jun 25, 2011 5:57 am

Anyone seen the new Atari release for Daggerdale?

To me this seems like an attempt to use the NWN2 graphics with a new story line and less on multiplayer. Granted you can Co-Op but almost seems like they are cheesing some things here. For a price of $14.99 though I may check it out just for the hell of it.

Any thoughts?

Hell, I'm still trying to rework my way through The Witcher so I can xfer the data to The Witcher 2. Anyone know if that is worth it?

I DL'ed the demo on the 360 and its basically just a hack and slash with semi-4E rules in place. Theres only 4 chars the 'MP' isbased around up to 4 player co-op where each person has to be one of the 4 pre-defined chars. Theres no real choice in weapons and whatnot its... its just a bad Diablo clone set in DnD-ish stuff.

A friend of mine bought this game for me, and you know what the best part is?

All the graphics could be converted to NWN1 NWN2 pretty easily

anything that can be converted to NWn2 can be converted to NWN1 as well.

Any views on the game?
The reviews I've read just say its full of bugs and is more like playing a beta game.I might stick to my guns on this and wait until its a fiver, its still ten quid at the moment.

The game was unplayable for the better part of several months of an authentication problem.

I dunno if that's fixed now.

To me it feels like a very.. very..VERY cheap attempt at a DND game. If i had to spend my own money for it.... Well I wouldn't spend my money on it. I would get DND demon stone and play it again or some something.

Grab the models and call it a win ;) It sounded like crap when this topic started.
