With that in mind, my concern is one could be setting oneself up for a fall, so to speak, if you ever leave Avlis to go adventurer on the other worlds. Suddenly, all the spells you're used to having last a good bit drop off in the middle of a fight (or are less powerful), etc. I know that's more of a individual issue, as some folks will remeber while others won't, but I think it's best not to set yourself up for it.
