Har har. Blackguards are nice folks. You may never meet one that calls you weak and girly. Clerics on the other hand are not always so nice.

But... chances are, the one most likely to call your paladin weak and girly is a cleric of gorethar. There is an old dwarf that is not afraid to tell you what he thinks.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

Hey, I play a weak and girly blackguard... literally (str at least). So I am not sure what you are all insinuating. was that supposed to be an insult?

Ok, I saw good info in the other thread about how your bonuses from charisma are added to saving throws, but I could swear I read somewhere else that wisdom helps us too, something to the effect that wisdom bonuses help with the DC of our spells ( well actually our spell like abilities).
Just wondered if wisdom helps in any other ways, such as spell duration for things like Bulls Strength, or our summons ( won't really help my guy too much, his wisdom is only 9 or 10)..

I know Cha helps with turn undead, smite good, and also benefits the ( kickass!) taunt skill, as well as the divine feats ( might and shield).

I'm undecided as to where to put my last 2 attribute points, wether they should go to strength or charisma, or con. I'm thinking charisma, since those bonuses and a high charisma help a blackguard in so many ways.

Of course, at the rate I level, I won't have to worry about this till the end of next summer

Sorry about getting off the slightly off topic, urm, topic..

If I was going to do it all over agin, I probably would have built Sunder's starting stats like a paladins( makes sense to me). Then again, I wouldda probably chosen a half-ogre instead of a half orc too.. A half-ogre BG would rock, especially when dynamic models go in ( assuming that current half-ogre models would be upgraded to the dynamic ones).

Mmm, a half ogre cleric/blackguard...* drools at the evil possible*

Blackguards get nothing from WIS, other than a bonus/malus to their will saves like everybody else. Also:

- The duration of Bull's Strength, Create Undead and Summon Fiend is based in Blackguard levels.
- The DC of Inflict Serious Wounds and Inflict Critical Wounds uses the following formula: 10 + Blackguard level + CON modifier (yes, CON).
- The DC of Contagion never grows and i think it's not affected by any modifier (so this spell is basically useless).

If I were evil i'd fear improved smite from pallys. I'm thinking cranked charisma(30+ easy with spells), holy avenger, divine might, divine shield, and smite evil with a keen scimitar and towershield for good looks, it doesn't get any better than that folks. Same with BG, you can get the divine feats by taking a few cleric levels to get turn undead, and that would still be IC for most malekites. Blackguards and Paladins are very powerful when played well, and by taking 12 charisma your missing out on alot of what those classes have to offer. Did I mention divine grace and dark blessing, beautiful attributes when properly applying charisma to your sexy holy warrior. :D

Engine wise I agree, the spell is useless statistically, which is a shame because as a Holy Warrior of Maleki it's probably the best RP tool there is.

Kellid has used this a number of times and will continue to use it, it would be nice however if once the disease scripts go in the Blackguards were able to spread disease using this ability.

Ho hum, we can dream :)

Blackguards do get turn undead and they can meet the requirements for Divine Might and Divine Shield without cleric levels.
