Don't forget Agamemnon, the ancestor of the Atreides family in Dune

... and the Bhagavad Gita is part of the Mahabarata, so you were on the right track.

That Agamemnon from Dune was the original Greek one. But then, with all the descendants through various families since the ancient greek, it would be a fairly long shot NOT to have Agamemnon as one of your ancestors in 10191 :)

Agamemnon Atriedes: Leader of the Greeks, he actually makes it back to his home, only to be killed at his own welcome-home dinner. Those guilty of his murder are none other than his wife, Clytemnestra, and her lover, Aigisthos. Of course, they eventually pay for their betrayal of Agamemnon when Orestes, his son, slays Aigisthos.

IIRC, Agamemnon Atreides was killed by his son as well - in this case, it was Vorian Atreides and Agamemnon was a Titan (a human brain in a machine body). Vorian was about to be converted (forcibly) into a cymek as well, but managed to trick his father and kill him before the conversion.
