Does an override which removes the Challenge Rating when you examine a PC/NPC exist (even though it is client-side only)?
If yes, GIEFF LINK PLZ!!1

It can be done, as it was on Moonsea. However, whether by override or not I'm unsure.
Most people have an above average number of arms.

Tested in an offline module. Seems to work. Also, it has some nifty new icons for immunities

Using them on Avlis now.
It works fine and those new Immunity icons are neat

Well, from what I saw...
Immunity to fire had the fireball icon, but it's surrounded by the green immunity globe.
Same goes for electricity. (had the lightning bolt icon, in a green globe)
And cold.
And sonic (although the images were a bit small to make out)
Basically, most immunites I saw had new icons. Where immunity to death had a shield like image in a green globe, now it has a skull in its place. Pretty neat

Erm... anyone feel like being incredibly kind and emailing me the files inside the .exe? Please?

Got a mac, so can't open any .exe thing...
Edit: Ah, thanks a lot, uncast!

The speed of the response was amazing!

No idea how the guy made the override, but it works just as all overrides do; just stick 'em in the override folder.
It only works on client-side though, so even if you can't see other people's CR, they can see yours. Unless they also have the override.
Thanks PsiOmega, for the link!

It edits the GUI element that is the Examine window. Also, when removing that part (I want to examine stuff and see the CR), I found that it also edited the levelup summary file. I bet that's to hide the HP roll.
If anyone can offer me the hosting space I'll make a file with only the icons.

Is this the same one that has been around for years, and blanks out part or all of the first couple of lines of any placeable's description?

The icons could be put into a hak, the CR override not.

Can those of you've who've started using the override report on whether...

...this is the case or not?
(I can't test it since my ISP/whoever has blocked me from DLing from the Vault)
If the override works like a charm without f00king up when you examine other objects, it should definitely get a link on the Avlis Download page and perhaps even be hosted here as well.

Indeed, in real life if only you could examine someone before getting your arse kicked.
Love the new icons. Am a bit more weary of approaching monsters now though.

Your password must contain at least 8 letters, a capital, a plot, a protagonist with good character development, a twist, and a happy ending.
