4697 missing items in a row does not a trend, make.

I had somthing like that happen when i was collecting fire beetle bellies. I unequiped the sword i was using but my inventory was full so it dropped on the floor. I made space in my inventory and picked up the sword and put it back in the quickslot and even used it.

Everything seemed ok but when i put the bellies on the table later i got the message dropped longsword. The sword was not by the table or anywhere to be found it had just vanished.

The full inventory causing a dropped item which later disapaears, is a long time bioware bug. I saw it happen to someone a while back. He picked up his shield but I could still see it on the ground (though not pick it up). Later it vanished from his inventory.

I heard the best way to deal with it is transition then come back (very quickly). Losing tracking of the dropped object and then seeing it again may confirm its existence somehow. Having regained the object, save character then log off and back on.
This has worked for me twice, though I'm careful these days not to let it happen in the first place.

I lost My +3 Tensers Longsword a couple of months ago. Had it equipped, sat to rest. Got up and it was gone. :(

That sucks

This is why I "save character" everytime I buy something, sell something, put something in my chest, take something out of my chest, show someone an item, recieve an item from another, right before I exit NWN.. every time.. no matter what.. Cant afford no mishaps

Bah it happend to me again.

I was at dwarf trade and I put my woodcutters axe in a magic bag.
Then it said lost item: fine elfish axe.
It apeard that the bag was full.
So instead of dropping it somewhere else in my inventory, it vanished.
also nothing on the ground.
I'm just glad I didn't put me bow in a full bag at that time

Just to add...

I logged into Mikona with Robert tonight.

In the start tent I moved a couple of items about then noticed I was carrying a staff (Mikons Magicus...so not very important). Decided to stick it in a bag and went and dragged it from equiped to the bag. Turned out the bag was full and the item became lost. The message came up...Lost item: Mikons Magicus.

Will be trying to open bags before I put things in them from now on... :)

I have a confirmed case of a lost item(s). I have a bag full of healing kits, some of which are in a Quickslot. Last night I was in Mikona, and ended up having to use some of those kits via the Quickslot hot-key (used about 1/2 of the stack). Later I took a boat ride to Ferrell, and when I got there the Quickslot that had held the remaining Kits was empty. I checked my bag, and that particular stack of kits were gone. Since I have had my suspicions that I had been losing kits for a few weeks, I started paying closer attention to the kits in my Quickslot, so this time I noticed when they disappeared. Looks like it is dangerous to put stacked items in a bag, and then Quickslot them while they are inside the bag.
