Am i right in thinking Bards dont get familiars?

Not totally sure but I have a level 7-8 Bard in single player right now and don't have a familiar yet...

Bards don't get familiars, but there is a remote outside chance they may get them soon. That chance went down quite dramatically recently though.

No familliars ((level 15 bard)) but i do have Fluffy ((level 5 bear summon ;) ))

Actually, I think I may be the only Bard currently on Avlis with a familiar.

This is due to taking several Sorc levels however.

Grace has both bard and sorc levels too. Don't know if she ever uses a familiar though, and she is more sorc than bard, iirc.

Errr, wrong. Its not the bard that has a familliar, its the sorc...

But there was this discussion on the Bard boards about maybe creating some sort of companion for Bards. But the focus in that was that it should support the bards performance, and would have no function on combat wahts so ever...

But no familiars sadly enough :cry:

Well, he is a bard and he has a familiar, thus he is a bard with a familiar. He never said he had a bard familiar, quite the opposite.

I was bard early on, then focused purely on sorcery. I do have a familiar but we mostly roleplay and talk about stuff, so he's not out fighting the good fight very often.
