Multiclass saving throws

Post by Quidam » Mon Oct 24, 2005 4:20 pm

I have a question about saving throws.

Would a Bard 6 / Rogue 5 / Assassin 9 have the same saves as a Bard 6 / Rogue 4 / Assassin 10 or would the second of those examples have slightly better, since the rogue and assassin levels are even numbers? i.e., is it the total number of levels for primary/secondary saves or per level, per class?

Thanks.

In your example the first build gets 6/15/9 and the second 6/16/9. To answer your question, you need to calculate the saves each class gets separately and then add up the numbers.

The first combination would have a base saving throw set of Fort +5, Ref +15, Will +8, and the second Fort +5, Ref +16, Will +8.

Basicly, to calculate multiclass saving throws, every class calculates their base saving throws seperately, then adds all together.

Edit: *shakes fist at Mort* ;)
