Does anyone know if it is possible to get the FPS to display permently on the screen while playing?

I tried "~FPS" but it only displays it for a few seconds

It's ~ trace fps

And it gets bloody annoying after a while, as you have to restart your client to be rid of it.

get the FRAPS program.

it has a hotkey to display the FPS, and you can toggle it to each corner of the screen. even turn it off when it gets annoying :)

Yeah, FRAPS is great and easy for this sort of thing.

I normally get 70-40 Fps. Walk into the Mikona front gate at nightime and gets down to about 20. 1024*768 with everything on and 4*AA. No filtering though, seems to make the textures look crap on the ground.

768M system ram

Sheesh, time for an upgrade soon I think. Trying to play Battlefield 2 with decent vid settings makes my machine squeal.

my computer will barely run battlefield 2.

1700+
FX5500 256MB ram
1GB system RAM

I definitely need an upgrade. but i generally get 20-50 FPS @ 1024*768 with most of the settings turned on. no filtering for the same reasons that sickocrow gave

just checked - and varied between about 50 - 75 fps at 1280 x 1024 with everything turned up to the maximum.

NWN is a bit old to take advantage of the newer video cards though
