House building and erfs

Post by Katroine » Wed Apr 06, 2005 1:34 am

Dear People who know building,

When I got the erf for my house to edit, it was one file. It has two areas, through a transition. As I was editing, I realize it is saving as two erfs, rather than one. Is there a way to export them into one erf?

When you export an area, a dialog box pops up, and the toolset suggests a name for the erf you are exporting (e.g. Gracie01.erf). When you export the second area, the toolset will again suggest a name - a different one this time (e.g. Gracie02.erf). Instead of accepting the second name, type in the name that was used for the first area (type Gracie01.erf) or just select that name from the list of erfs shown in the same dialog box.

The toolset will then ask if you want to append this export to the erf. If you hit YES, then the second area will be added to the erf. If you hit NO, then the second area will overwrite the first - something you do not want to do.
