If you kept backup of .exe just replace NoCD patch with it and you should be fine I think... I stupidly deleted my backup folder... Don't know if critical will fix.

Your cd keys are in an ini file in your nwn directory (nwncdkey.ini if I recall correctly). The critical thingie should do the trick though without need for reinstall.

Make sure to write it down and store in a cool, dry, place as well. Well, not necessarily cool, but definitely dry.

Victim of the no-cd thingie as well.. the critical restore worked for me though, and I made sure to keep a copy of the nwmain.exe file this time around.

I did the same thing, but I had kept a copy of the original 1.64 NWN main and NWN exe (just to be safe, wasn';t sure which one it altered.
After the patch was aborted, I just plopped the originals back into the NWN directory and ran the updater again.
No problems. :D . - no need to get the critical build.

You know, if you forget to use the original file before patching, after the download it will tell you the patching failed, which will make you download it all again (and if you have a slow connection that's very bad).

But if you look in the neverwinter folder your patch will be there, but it won't be a Zip file, so you need to put it into one, and change that file's name to the name the update is supposed to have if you download it from the bioware site :)

This is probably common knowledge, but when I found this out I bragged about it for a long time... ask srn ;)

Yup me too. Did exactly the same. Once I'd realised my error, I just went back to the originals and re-ran update :D

Is there a NoCD for the new version yet please?

I suppose if I can't fix the Linux version yet, I will have to take the plunge and update the Windows one. Thanks for the warnings about the NoCD crack removal.

I'm not using a No-CD but still had to use the Critical patch thing to get it to work. Very odd.
