Problems of M'Chek

Post by Ravan Seiryu » Sat Jan 15, 2005 5:52 am

I'm currently trying to find out what is at the root of food and other ecology related problems M'Chek is having. Somethings I know, are related to inactive state of Druidic lifestone. I'm trying to compile a list and write a treatize in importance of Biodiversity.

Now, my question to everyone is. Do you think diversity of natural life is problem in M'Chek? Or is it something else altogether? Is M'Chek dryland, product of population glowth and increasing pressure to farm? And replacing biodiversity with relative bio uniformity? How does druids feel about M'Chek's state of environment?

I know I have too many questions... but any imput will be appreciated.

It's simple: Some time ago, the point came when the population was more in number than there was food to feed them. What did the farmers do? Instead of let their farmland be fallow for some time, they continued to farm it. That is very bad for the soil, and thus the food production decreased and the land became.. well, you know how it looks :)

Ah, so I wouldn't be too off the mark. If I go on assuming some of it has to do with loss of diversity? Though I suppose "biodiversity" doesn't suit Avlis well. Hmm, perhaps I can make up new word... or go about explaining it in round about way.
