Does the weapon benefits from weapon focus : short sword ?

I've seen that weapon finesse works with it and my char may want to use the focus on short sword. I'll use the weapon whatever but don't want of course to waste a feat in devellopment.

If the base weapon type is short sword then NWN will think it's a short sword and all feats will work for it. Otherwise not.

You can find the base item type in the weapon description in game.

Yes, it does indeed say "Base Item: Short Sword*". Not sure what the * means though...

The * next to the item type indicates that the item is a custom content and not originally in the NWN item pool.

I was not sure that being "base item short sword" validates the feat use.
So it's worth spending a feat on
