first post ......need help

Post by hewhorocks » Sat Oct 23, 2004 8:38 am

:(
Ok Ive down-loaded the portraits pak and extracted them into all kinda files but they wont show up in character creation...any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Tried to read the 10 page link to the issue in the forums but that mostly deals with npc's and nothing about good ole pc's. Any help you can offer would be great. Also looking forward to the update so I can start playing..(udated b4 my application came through and I read do not update.) :D thanks

Portrait files (5 .tga files per portrait) go into your \NWN\portraits\ folder. Create it if it isn't there and copy them in. They will show up then.

Update to 1.64 has no ETA yet, but I hope for you it won't be that long. You can of course always download a revert patch from nwn.bioware.com to play during that time.

revert patch (works great)

Post by max payne » Sat Oct 23, 2004 10:25 am

I reinstalled nwn recently and automatically patched to 1.64 before realising that Avlis wasn't at this level yet...the revert patch works fine (but make sure you pick the right one..i.e. the one for the NWN/HoU and SoU !

Welcome to Avlis, look forward to seeing you there sometime soon!

If you bought the platinum version of NWN, you can't revert back. You'll have to wait until Avlis updates! But it will be worth the wait!

Mhm, yeah. I still don't really get why Bioware pulled that stunt with the platinum edition, but that's how it is. 1.63 was the platinum edition and not a public patch, so you can't revert from it or update to it. It sucks. If it helps: you're not the only one suffering from this problem.
