Hello, I'm new here.

Post by SpitwolF » Mon Aug 23, 2004 5:43 pm

Just waiting for my authorisation to be complete and you will find my character hehe. Don't worry, I'm not new to Roleplay

One quick question though, I read somewhere that Nymph's and Dryad's cannot stray away from the forest that they dwell in for too long. I'm guessing this does not apply for the half-dryad and half-nymph?

thanx, see you in game

Half-nymphs and half-dryads do not share their parent's weaknesses and limitations, thankfully. They can freely travel out of forests and away from their trees / groves.

Yeah, but that's not gonna stop Titania from hunting them down....

My advice? Don't start in Mikona, everyone hates everyone there.

Don't start playing in Elysia, the Titanians hate everyone there.

Don't start playing in Deglos, your life there will be nasty, brutish and short.

Don't start in the Wilderness, for the above reason.

Don't start in LeOrT'Nanshi, because all the l33t d00ds (sp?) are camping rats day and night....

Ferrell is pleasant this time of year, though. :)

Oh, and welcome, by the way!

Wilderness kicks butt!

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

Err... don't take the advice above too seriously, as it isn't accurate at all. :)

Everyone doesn't hate everything in Mikona, that's hyperbole. A lot of people love that city and have a lot of fun there. Elysia is probably as safe a place to play in as any other, for that matter. Le'Or has a hell of a lot more to it than rat-hunting, too.

Please feel free to start in Mikona, Elysia, Le'Or, or Ferrell. The Wilderness and Deglos are a bit more challenging for many new characters.

Sorry if I diden't make it clear, my first post there was only in jest. As a player, I would reccomend LeOr, Elysia, or Ferrell over Mikona, because Mikona is a bit more isolated. Elysia and Mikona also see the most lag and crashes, however, but that is due to high player traffic. Good or bad thing, your choice. Le'Or is nice. Ferrell is very pretty. Take some time, look around the place!

Avlis is a great place, and we all hope you will enjoy it!

I knew it was a joke, but wasn't sure the new players could tell. :)

IMO the most newbie server is, in fact, Ferrell. There are a number of easy places for beginners to adventure, there are always helpful AKN members about, its filled with cute little halflings, brownies, and wildlife, there's tons of mellowsmoke around  ...

That said, Le'or is a radiant, gorgeous city, with tons of great places to visit and things to do.

Elysia is newbie friendly also, but, due to its popularity, is sometimes a little laggy.

I thought he was being serious  heh, I feel silly.

Well I've spoke to a few people on the forum and they seem to think a Centaur druid is a good idea because you don't see that many. Which is the most like server a Centaur would start? Ferrell?

The druid grove of the centaur god, Skern, is right above Ferrell's capital city. :) Convienient, huh?

Just remember, Centaurs are a static model, so you will not see equipment, clothing, or armor that they are wearing. Also, the static model is male. Keep that in mind if you are making one.

Le'Or and the forest underneath (Le'Or, not the wilderness). Lots of newbies find their niche here and then you can join the fight against M'Chek.
