Do epic feats stack with non-epic feats?

Post by liephus » Wed Aug 18, 2004 1:48 pm

Just wondering if feats like the following stack:

Weapon Focus & Epic Weapon Focus
Weapon Specialization & Epic Weapon Specialization
Iron Will & Epic Will
Skill Focus & Epic Skill Focus
Greater Spell Focus & Epic Spell Focus

iirc weapon focus and epic weapon focus stack.
Always consider alignment as a tool, not a straitjacket that restricts the character.

They all stack.

max skill-focus bonus = +13
max penetration-/ spell focus bonus = +6
Lady Divinia Cecil, Combat Medic; Frederique Moriana, Dragon Avalanche; Amber, redhead Bandit Mascotte; Khaelindra, Mystic Archer

+2+4+6 = +6 means this does not stack.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

I don't have the manuals in front of me, but I'm pretty sure that each gives +2. The descriptions for the latter two probably say that they give a total bonus of +4 and +6 respectively.

The spell focii are named bonuses so they're not supposed to stack.

The saves however are unnamed bonuses (not inherent, morale, etc.) hence they stack.

obviously you mean:

spell penetration +2
greater spell penetration +4
epic spell penetration +6

question is... is total +6 or +12? (I don't know)

It's a matter of semantics I think. Each feat grants a +2 which stacks with the others. What's reported in the description is the total cumulative bonus.

Pretty damn sure that's the way it is ...

The feat description says "you gain a +6 bonus to bla-bla-bla"., and means "you now have a bonus of +6 to bla-bla-bla".

It's +6, as any self-respecting invocer can tell you. 8)
