Weapon Specialization Feat Question
I've got a character with paladin/fighter levels, 7/2. I still can't take weapon specialization. I think the manual says the requirement is a fighter with a BAB of +4. Does this mean I need 4 levels of fighter to qualify?
it used to be that you only needed a BAB of 4. So people could simply take one lev in fighter and get weapon spec. This was fixed in a patch quite a while ago so that you now have to have 4 levs in fighter to get it. Not only that, you can only get it in a fighter level up.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

i hope this is fixed tough ;O

I know there was a restriction that you have to take Weapon Specialisation as one of your fighter bonus feats. But I find it suprising that you have to take at at lvl 4 or you never get it! This means you would only be able to specialise in 1 weapon !!!
Must say, I haven't tried it. But I thought you had to have the required BAB and take it as one of your fighter feats (i.e. 1st level fighter or every 2nd fighter level). Maybe if you'd take Paladin levels first to get your BAB higher enough and then taken 1 single level of fighter you could have got the Weapon Specialisation?
EDIT: Just saw Kinx's post. Ah, so that's what the did.

PnP rules don't give you Weapon Specialization until Fighter Lvl 4, and that's the only way to get it, short of a couple PrC.
I do believe Bioware patched to match this. You need 2 more levels in Fighter, and it will only be available on level up as a Fighter.
