What do you make of this?

Post by Dragana » Sun May 16, 2004 10:57 am

I'd like to ask all of you a personal question:

You remeber Sugriado Rusten, which was my first character...
Then I've been playing a lot with the seregs...

I have been banned!

Now I'd like to know all of your sincere opinions on this, namely I'd like to know how many of you are happy about this? And how many of you are sad and diasappointed as I am? How many of you would like to have me back?(get my banning removed)

Please try to answer as sincerely as possible. This has become a very personal issue to me and thus I'd like to have solely your truthful thoughts about this. Please don't let the fact that I've been banned and barked at by DMs and even Orleron himself have an effect on your sincere opinions. I I'd like you to be brave here and show your true feelings and thoughts...atleast that would not get yourself banned*mumbling in a depressed and sarcastic tone*

I have 4 RL-friends playing on Avlis and atleast they are very sorry about my situation. It's a pitty though that not even they'll take the"risk" of being a little anarchist bastard as I've been here trying to correct misunderstandings by whinig about them. Avlis has very recently become a very important part of my life, I've paid some 60 dollars in donation, I've tried to contribute all my free time to make the Sereg'wethrin private cells more intresting and comprehensive and all I get is rudness, barking, an unfortunate grief complaint due to an Avlis bug and finally I get banned! Once you have become attached to something that you love in your life it's quite difficult to simply walk away from it all as if the good never existed....
It's like a process of weaning of drugs athough I've never done that. I can only imagine the similarity in essence as I have my scant experiences in clinical psychiatry..heh.

Now, please let me have all of your sincere thoughts.

Thank you.

Yep and going to quadruple if there need be...I'm sorry it's just that I need to have a bit attention immediately, as you must understand that banning would hurt bad. And it is hurting bad!

Okay - some info for you.

double posting is irritating. Triple is worse. Quadruple, well, can you spot a pattern?

also, I think most of us use the thread view the shows us what's new. since our last visit. So I've seen this 4 times plus it bumps up each time someone replies. and you have done this before and a comment was made. (your posting on your character/gamespy name problem).

Now for some feedback, I've never RP directly with you, but read your posts and the posts that complained about you. Based only on that, it seems you have made a negative impact of the fun of the game. As Heldor, I've gotten into positions that can generate more CvC than I normally engage in (army, SoT) The few CvC's I've done, I think turned out OK. The big key is to remember that all of us are here to have fun in our own ways.

Maybe take some time to re-think, try some other worlds, and maybe ask nicely to come back in a few months. Next time, try to play a "nicer" character until you fully see how the world works.

Best regards,

First, maybe delete the other threads about this. At least that way you start off on the right foot.

Next, it can be tough to play an evil character (which, by the looks of things, is all you've played), but many players here have done it successfully for quite a long time. So, maybe ask yourself, what did they do differently than you, that lets them continue playing here?

For instance. Anytime I feel the need to kill a person IC, I'll send them a tell, ask if that's ok with them as a player, and usually offer to keep a discrete eye on the corpse or (totally OOC) heal them and pretend it didn't happen while they lie bleeding on the floor. Usually that way, I don't interrupt anyone's gaming too much, and if they REALLY don't want to fight, for some reason, I can find another way to RP.

Also, I don't think the management around here really tosses people out for single incidences or game bugs. Maybe you could ask them (if you don't know already) why you were banned and what you would have to do in order to be allowed to play again.
