HotU feats: Whirlwind and Imp. Whirlwind

Post by Malathyre » Fri Dec 05, 2003 8:35 pm

Can someone explain the difference between these two feats? Their descriptions make them sound awfully similar, though there must be some difference between 5 feet and threatened area. Thanks in advance.

I *think* that with imp whirlwind you can hit anything in your weapon's range. So the bigger weapons can hit out to 10 feet, and the whip can hit out to 15 feet. I *think*. Whirlwind is VERY nice with a scythe weapon master though...haven't tried out imp yet.

Yes, normal whirlwind is limited to 5ft, improved can go out to 10ft if you have a long weapon. That's a fairly large difference.

That is a large difference, but it sounds like Imp. Whirwind is only worth it if you are using a larger/two handed weapon? There is no real benefit if you are using a smaller weapon, or one handed weapon, if I understand correctly, right?

Thanks again for the info. :D
