Commandline switch for DM client...?

Post by Teibidh » Fri Nov 21, 2003 9:52 am

The DM client pretty much has to be a switch provided to nwmain.exe at run time, anyone know what that switch is?

The above may work, haven't tried it, but I do use:
-dmc
in my DM client shortcuts.

You mean you can actually make shortcuts for the DM Client? I've always wanted to do this, could never figure it out though.

a bit off topic... never read about this:

Patch details for 1.31
- Added a new console command - "setfogdistance x" where x is the distance to set the fog. At this time, this command can only move the plane out, not back in.
does this work??

Yes, setfogdistance works perfectly fine.
100 is fairly far, but could incur a huge framerate hit.
You'll need more than 100 to see skies on any modules you might play
that use skies.
Thing is, you cannot bring the fog back to default without restarting the
client. And as far as I know, it can only be set in game, meaning every
time you start it.
