A query on meta-magic wands

I have a wand that is Empowered, Maximised & Extended (ooh!), mostly I'm curious about the first two...

As I understand these feats:
Maximise applies all carriable numeric effects, including damage, number of targets, and so on, at their maximum values
Empower causes all variable, numeric effects of an empowered spell to beincreased by 50%

Combinine the two should cause a 1d4+1 spell to always yield (4+1)*1.5 = 7.5 = 8 (due to Bioware taking an always round up when an integer is required approach)

So, my Empowered, Maximised & Extended Cat's Grace should, as I understand it, give me an extra 8 Dex everytime it is used.... (both times I've used it I've only recived an extra 3 Dex)

Is this the case?

I believe it should give you +7 dex (it rounds down), and the reason you might be only getting +3 is because there's a hard cap of a total of +12 stacked to any ability.

Posted it here because I suspected a bug....

You've nailed the underlying issue though, I already had +9 to my Dex from items. I'd totally forgotten about the +12 cap.

Hmmmm This means I can myabe try and find some nice new boots or maybe a ring.
