I think i am bugged but not sure... My character Osric Kratos( gamespy ID is DoomsDay1000) duel weilds rapiers and is a ranger that wears robes and rangers get a feat called duel wield (when wearing light armor i get all benefits of Ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting)
and i should get a -4/-4 penatly to AB if the weapon is not a light weapon. If its a light weapon then i should get a -2/-2 penatly. When i have Osric duel wield rapiers ( i think they are light weapons) he gets a -4/-4 penatly instead of a -2/-2. I think hes bugged or the rapiers are not light weapons i am not sure but i remember getting a -2/-2 when i first started playing him and now i am getting a -4/-4. Can someone get back to me on this. thanks

Rapiers are too big for the off-hand. Go down a weapon size, and it will work. The word "light" for the off hand is misleading... I fell for that too once. It really has to do with the weapons size. Try a short sword, dagger, kukuri etc.

rapiers are light for the purposes of weapon finesse, if not offhandedness.

Couldn't answer because you posted in "Ask The Team".
Fistly, the terminology is small/medium/large. Rapiers are medium weapons same as a long-sword. Assuming you are medium-sized (e.g. human, elf, dwarf) then the -4/-4 penalty is correct. You'd have to use short-swords or smaller to get the -2/-2.
The only difference with rapiers is that they are finessable, meaning that if you have the Finesse feat then you use DEX bonus for AB. I think rapiers are the only finessable medium weapon, that is why they are special.

My Main uses dual weilded Rapiers always has done. I guess I liked the novelty factor, even though you get penalised for it!

Dual rapiers with great cleave or whirlwind attack is a blast.

Just looks good.

Dev crit, it's all about the dev crit...oh, and keen, and WM with seven levels. And then have the DM spawn a ton of undead on you
