A quick word on item buff spells, aka flame weapon

Post by tindertwiggy » Mon Feb 09, 2004 2:04 pm

HoTU added quite a few weapon and armor buff type spells. They are supposed to be timered, with the enchantment wearing off after a set amount of time determined by level. The timers are quite easy to break, however. I am seeing more and more people running around with permanent "temporary" gear enchantments. If you have gear that is has one of these effects permanently on it contact a dm and we will pull a switcheroo.

Consider this the first warning. This spell should not be abused.

You can get rid of any temporary effects yourself by putting the item in your persistent chest until the server resets.

Case closed.
Permanent temporary buffs are no longer a problem, why do people keep dragging this one up?
