A Question on the Spirit Languages

Elven
Khanjar Kuro spirit races (i.e. spirit kin, etc.)
Tyeduan tribal languages
Sylvan languages (sylvan, fairy common, nymph, sprite, dryad, etc.)
I was wondering about the Tyeduan tribal languages. The above languages are all have a common root language, in such the same way that French, English, German, etc have a common root in Latin. If I know Avlis Elven, would I be able to understand anything of Tyeduan? Such as structure, syntax, verb-noun usage, etc? I take it for granted I wouldn’t be able to understand the words, but would they be similar?

For a real life example: English in the USA is the same in the UK. Structure, and spelling are fundamentally the same, so no deviation has occurred, and to speak one is to the speak the other. Spanish, on the other hand, is structure and spelling the same, but the Spanish they speak in Spain, has different meanings to the Spanish they speak in Mexico, Cuba, El Salvador, etc.

I hope this was clear.

As different as Catalan and Castilian...Italian and Portugese.
