In what server I should start when playing rogue?
I'm on making a bio for my new elf rogue and it would be honour to advance into shadow dancer in later basis. To my point then, in where server I should start as playing a rogue(spy/scout sort of)? What I've read, I believe it would be Mikona, am I correct(thinking about slums)? Please help ASAP so I can finish my bio and create char. Thank you. *takes his hat off his head and bows smoothly*

Le'Or is a very newbie-friendly server, these days. Elysia and Mikona both have their own rogues' guilds, and there are several groups and guilds that have a very high rogue presence throughout Avlis. Elves might find Mikona isn't the friendliest city around for their kind, but it's still a great place overall. In short, any of the above are good places to start, for different reasons.

I would honestly say it depends entirely on the type of rogue you want to develop.
To net it out on a very basic level:
Le'or is for those rogues who want to be scouts.
Elysia is for those rogues who want to concentrate on intelligence gathering.
Mikona is for those rogues who want to become part of a mobster like family.
Of course, there are cross-influences for rogues, but if I had to net it out this is what I would say after having played in all three cities. All have very good, and somewhat negative aspects for newbie characters.

Remember, just because you start somewhere doesn't mean you have to live there the rest of your life.
I made an elven rogue in Mikona because dealing with all the prejudice etc. gave me a good chance to get some character definition in. And I admit I did... perhaps once or twice... try to find out where one of those rude guards lived and rob them blind.
But now I only make it back to Mikona once in a blue moon.
Lately I recommend Le'Or as the best newbie server due to the sheer number of things to do. I love the Canopies!
You have to be careful though... Sometimes sleep griefers hang out there.

Yes, I second this as well. I also started in Mikona, and now spend most of my time in Le'Or.jeanette wrote:Remember, just because you start somewhere doesn't mean you have to live there the rest of your life.I made an elven rogue in Mikona because dealing with all the prejudice etc. gave me a good chance to get some character definition in. Then again, I guess that was mostly due to the fact that Le'Or didn't exist at the time I started. Elysia did exist, but only as a complete shell. None of the buildings had doors, and the only buildings you could enter were the Blowing Gale Inn, and the Temple of Gorethar. As a level 1 rogue, I wasn't very keen on spending my time robbing the High Temple, or the place I slept.
To be fair, Mikona was an amazing place to start out. Silk as The Raven herself... Timo.... Kima.... some crazy little nut named Harriet Proudfoot who decided she would only join the theive's guild if it was a "good enough deal." I swear that character robbed most of Avlis on a daily basis until Silk laid out the rules.
Have fun, if you don't like your city, it's a simple walk or boat ride, or 1-hour wait till you can try another city...

Thank you, Elysia was a nice pick then for my char. And I like the atmopshere so far, a bit empty and bugged fed-ex quests a bit pisses off but once I get visible cape from somewhere, I'm smiling widely once again with Elysia.
