Information for Bards...

Post by Xiatha » Wed Sep 17, 2003 3:55 am

I was entertaining the idea of playing a Bard PC, and I was wondering on where abouts in the forums would one find information pertaining to bards in the Avlis world?

You could apply to the Bards private discussion group, or search through the info on the home site (http://www.avlis.org) for links to it. Also look in the World Information forum, under Development on the main forum index.

You'll find us bards an EXTREMELY sorry group of unorganized pranksters, song-smiths, a painter, and one very, very strange man. :D

We hold no official status on Avlis per se. There's really nothing going on in the way of SPECIFIC RP hooks for bards that I know of.

That being said:

1) This gives you the freedom to be the bard you always wanted to be! *grin*

-and-

2) Keep your eyes out for an announcement concerning the Grand Gala Opening of the Second Solace Tavern in Elysia. You'll find the proprieter extremely generous to performers when he's available, and with time, luck, and the good graces o' da DM's some NPC-assisted opportunities to show yer act to a crowd of drunks and hoot-callers will be offered. :D

Bye Now,
Jerry Cornelius - Oh, and welcome to Avlis...

Yes, join the bards private discussion group and see to the dicsussion (as far as there is any) there. That is the most quiet discussion group there is atm I think, but that is because bards are as a rule not very organised. Your questions will be answered by the existing bards as they pass by though.

We took part in a Bard Festival, courtesy of Mr Burnham. There did not seem any shortage of Bards then.

Also, there are several in Elysia, at least one of whom runs around in an attractive purple and gold dress.

I met another Bard there recently, whom I had not met before. I only wish I could remember his name.

Look forward to seeing you there.

Regards,
Kalinda Swift - Bard of Elysia.

*Hops up and down on the spot, waving her arms in the air*

Ahem - make that at least five.

I live in Elysia, but do not wear one of those lovely purple and gold dresses. I only have boring brown leather or cloth.

Regards,
Kalinda Swift - Bard of Elysia
