Halfling Culture and Berryn

Post by Jordicus » Fri Mar 14, 2003 10:55 pm

Not trying to jump the gun here, but... since you have offered....

I would love to find out more about the halfling culture in Avlis specifically concerning the nation of Ferrell. I don't want to assume that halflings in Avlis are like halflings in other settings, even though the basic description of the nation and the race in the World Information thread seemed to be of a similar sort. I would guess that Ferrell might appear in-game at some point??

And, along the same lines, since we now have a shrine to Berryn in Le'or T'Nashi, do we have any kind of guidelines for the religiious activities/customs concerning the worship of Berryn? Will there be a full-fledged temple at some point??

As always, time is of no importance in these types of questions, so I look forward to finding out more when the time is appropriate.

Thanks

I was just about to post a question about whether this already exists in the game, when I thought it would be wise to do a search first - and here we are :D

Presumably, this nation of halflings would be somewhere in the Wilderness, between Le'Or'T'Nanshi and Deglos? Does it exist yet?

If not, are there plans to add it eventually please? (I am not going to ask 'when?' - I realise that the builders are busy. No hurry, but it would be nice to know if there are plans - even if they are far in the future.

Remember, a day is only 48 minutes - so even the far future is not far away :D

It doesn't exist yet. I hope it will be someday added as a server, and there are plans to that end in the most general sense (all of Avlis will be added someday if we have our way). In more concrete sense (areas being build and such) there are no plans yet to implement Ferrel. You can find it's geographical location on the Avlis world map.

The religion of Berryn is not very large outside of Ferrel, but there are some shrines and the occasional temple to be found. I know of only one PC cleric of Ferrel (ask Jordicus about him).
So much fun,
yet so little time to enjoy it.

I looked in Elysia, but could not find a shrine to Berryn.

Wren of Ferrell - Follower of Berryn. Now living in Elysia.

the only shrine is in Le'or... :)

go to Le'or. go west through the market into the temple district. take a sharp left as soon as you come through the transition and give my greetings to the Priest of Berryn there! :)
