i had this problem because i have both CD and DVD drives, and the default letter put in the ini file was to the CD drive (my NWN2 is on DVD). i manually changed the ini file and that fixed the problem. although once or twice it again gave me that message and i just found openning and closing the DVD...

NWN2 - what works for you camera wise?
Hi all. Having fun with NWN2 apart from well documented camera issues. I notice a lot of people saying that once you tweak it abit it works but having tried a lot of variations and modes, i am still struggling particularly indoors. I liked the DDO controls where the mouse turned you + camera and the...

*still wonders how Sethra missed her save* that was a blast. good entrance, and i am glad you nailed sligo too cause i was able to beat him out the abyss and that is what really matters to me. although even more evil was the followup spell you cast: Wail of the Harddrive. *smacks his NWN for crashin...

http://www.avlis.org/viewtopic.php?t=14361&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc this covers a lot of the questions, not just invisible but also stealth (if you read down). if you step on a twig, they haven't noticed you. they have heard there is something in the area. Your shimmering image is ooc info l...

therefore if an invisible PC (i mean the spell invisible) is standing next to you, and you can see them you might not be able to Id them but you KNOW there is a person there. I can accept that. On a slightly different note, If my PC makes his Listen check and hears someone, then i see them shimmeri...

Cannons are fairly common in the Kurathene Empire, the boat was a Trenish vessel (a Kurathene fief), and (from the screenshot) many of the people have either visited Kurathene, know people from Kurathene, or actually hail from the empire. Not to refute, because I doubt the common Mikonan knows abou...

The only problem I see with that aproach is that all holy warriors will have to be remade (and changed to paladin). Hard, but we may script that too (NPC to correc the class). *has a low wisdom like many existing holy warrior chars and will thus never get the new spells anyways* would be very cool ...

I agree with what was said before. go with RP. and realise it will take you some time RPing to unlock the Blackguard... enough time that you will likely gain a few levels in the meantime. if you are image conscious, do realise that blackguards have coolest looking guild items in the game... and that...

I was present at this fight and I was also dev critted twice and you know what I thought it was great... I think it is perfectly realistic for some towering Fire Giant to bring a Huge Dual Bladed axe down on Celedor's puny elven body with enough force and trauma to drop me to the ground to the brin...

er..dev crit is almost impossible to protect yourself from, only epics have even a chance, and 95% even of epics will fail a save within round of combat. there is one mage spell that protects you (non epic). Shifter form does it (epic). non epic clerics, druids and mages summon crit immune stuff. o...

to my mind they are no different than basilisks or npcs with death magic. Only difference to npc's with death magic is with dev crit it is much harder (but not impossible) to protect yourself (although AFAIK, there is no protection from petrification either). for dev crit they need to hit you and yo...
