I believe your known spells list at level up only uses bard levels to determine how many and what level spells you may cast, but spell slots per day uses Bard + 1/2 PM levels. Unfortunately, this may result in a situation where you have two 4th level spell slots, but don't know any 4th level spells...

Every 2 levels (on odd levels), the pale master gains additional spells per day, as if they had leveled in their previous spell caster class.

So, you should have spells per day as though you are a level 9 bard (up to third level). I'm not sure why you only have the option for level two spells.

Pale Masters never get immunity to mind spells.

Their spell casting progression definitely suffers, but fortunately half of their pale master levels (every odd level) count toward spell duration/damage and piercing spell resistance, thanks to Avlis spellhooking.

Setting hostile is an OOC game-mechanic. Your PC may not wish to harm the other PCs surrounding your target, for whatever reason, but that is irrelevant to this rule. Sereg are kill-on-sight everywhere but the Underdark. That means that on other servers unless you hide yourself (cover your skin completely, for example), you will likely be killed. If you really want to play a sereg, I suggest playing on the Underdark server and get involved with the other sereg PC...
