- Topic: what is the role of a cleric?

I find clerics don't preach about their god enough. I enjoy seeing clerics act like jerks ALWAYS talking about how great their god is or how everyone should pray to her or be a cleric. Seems to take away from the class when someone plays their cleric like a fighter with spells. Or a level 20 cleric ...

Pet peeve but it's not rants :) I think some people have the tendency to over do it in a bad way when it comes to relationships avlis and "quitting" The minute someone wakes up their checking the message boards and replying to all the messages they missed. Wanna go on a date? Can't, there is a guild...

Stealth is a little silly. I can sneak around the woods an dnot be seen. Walking right infront of someone in broad daylight out in the open, well, it's a game after all.. What annoys me are the people who take a shit fit when you see them and their invisible. Yes, your invisible and because of the g...

I suppose it's pretty generic. I thought something to do with a fiefdom from Kurathene would work best because they seem pretty well set up for that type of fighting. Little border classes, political striff, assassinations. Also, it would be easy for a player to be running away from a non-establishe...

Taking a psion monk would have been very cool from a stat point of view. Wisdom modifier added to AC would have been great. For the concept I was aiming for a monk didn't really make sense though (unfortinuatly). The assassin PrC is pretty weak too but i figured have it for RP reasons, or something....

Character class: Psionic assassin, part 2
[I've been working on a character concept for a psionic assassin. Yes it's a very cheesy rip off from Starcraft, no denying that. While cheesy I think the concept lends itself well to the NWN enviroment. That aside, i wanted to know what my fellow Psions/psion fans think about the character set up. ...

I've always thought paladins/fallen paladins make horrible black guards. They are two oppisite ends of a spectrum i find. if my paladin were to fall from grace he wouldnt go around killing people for fun. He would say fuck the rules, fuck trying to convert people im going to kill everyone who disagr...

Paladin's are awesome. Where most characters may wonder where in the world they fit in, what their purpose in life is, why they exist, a Paladin simply know's. There is nothing saying your Paladin can't be a fanatic. I always wonder why more arent. Paladin's make great fanatics. If someone doesn't f...

Holy shit. I think i'm lawful evil. I always pictured myself lawful good. Good points. Instead of doing like ben did and having one alignment but simply playing another (and kudos to you for owning up to that when other people would hide it) I think I'll attempt to play a Lawful Evil character who b...

Good reading ont hat link thanks. Lately i try not to get too wrapped around alignment. I figure it's easier to let the DMs hand out alignment points judging on what they see. A Paladin/Assassin type character (Think the dark knight cecil from FF2) would be something interesting to try though i'm su...

Role playing an assassin
I was wondering what people thought about how an assassin should be role played. I don't really like playing evil characters. If anything I prefer a neutral or sort of misguided good. I wish the assassin class didn't have to be evil. Do you think there is a non cheesy way to play an assassin as a sh...

Thats what i love about the assassin class. Probably one of the worst ones you can get for abilities stats wise but it's great for role playing. An assassin is basically a rogue who gets half the skill points and no sweet abilities like improved evasion and all that stuff. You get improved invisibil...

I gotta say people with 3 and 4 inn rooms really irk me. Its next to impossible to find inn rooms. ya sure people have lots of stuff to store but it sucks for new players. Instead of someone having 3 or 4 rooms, spread across all the servers at that, couldn't the DMs just add another chest to someon...

I'm pretty sure it's been brought up time and time again and always turned down by the team. I agree i do not see the team on avlis implimenting the prestiege classes int heir world. New prestiege classes
I'm not as up to date as most on current NWN goings on. This may be old news. Also, remember which forum it's post in. NWN general, not AVLIS. My question is targeted towards NWN in general and not specifically avlis, so dont cry. Has anyone taken a look at the prestiege classes listed here? http://...

I couldn't agree more that a character shouldn't be able to properly use a weapon they just pick up. I'm quite certain 99% of us would have no idea how to properly use a sword, and against someone trained with one we would be destroyed in a second or two. The same goes with armor and shields. If you...
