Alternatively, you can use the 'Novice to epic character creator' module - it allows you to try out all possible colour combinations from a menu - including the 'hidden stuff' - just take your char into it (or get the item you need from inside the mod itself) and go over to the customising area. It'...

Hmmm.. cheers for the replies guys. Mistcaller - what I meant was the settings that determine the distance between objects (either placeables etc. or PCs) can go before they are 'bounced' apart. I'm certain it can be changed. I heard from someone else about it & did a search on it. The few reference...

Nobody? Meh... oh well, to be honest, I wasn't exactly looking forward to doing that cutscene anyway... lots of 'fudging' to avoid the feet etc. Ho-hum. I'd still like to know where the collision detection stuff is held though... bet there's lots of other interesting settings where that's held too.....

heh.. why, does that affect the answer? :P Actually, just creating a cutscene & wanted to show a couple waltzing, as opposed to bouncing off each other. Yeah I know, I'll have to get some new animations too (I can't make those myself - can't afford the software), but I think someone's already done s...

The 'Bioware bounce'

Does anyone know where I can access the collision detection settings? I know it can be done, as a couple of PWs use it, but after hours of searching, I haven't been able to find jack about it.

Any help appreciated!

A quick word about SP modules... I've been trying quite a few of these recently, and I have to say you might be disappointed with the quality of them. Example: the award-winner from the NWVault competition was 'Sands of fate: shadows over Heliopolis'. I was expecting great things from this mod, only...

Sadly I used to play Diablo II, and I was one of those who found an original windforce bow - probably the most sought-after item in the game (this was before duping and hacking became prevalent). When I found it, I could have sold it on e-bay for a lot of money: the week before, one had set a new 'i...

What about there's a chance a PC will crap their pants when they switch weapon
I say fine, as long as they then get 1d6 gas attack added to their melee.

Mehhhh.... didn't even know you could change armour etc. in combat - just weapons! Does sound a bit daft that in the middle of a deadly battle you could just drop your old light armor and put on the shiny half-plate whilst simultaneously fending off a bunch of orcs. I hope it does get taken care of....

The difference is the mage will run out of spells, the fighter has to actually physically fight the monster (and natural 20's happen even if the fighter has an insane ac), etc. Only the rogue/shadowdancer can get unlimited sneak attacks against monsters with no risk and no rest. Again, I'm all ears...

Regardless, the problem is that logic and reason aside a smart rogue/shadowdancer with the right equipment can kill monsters with little or no risk. Now, if you can come up with a better counter argument to my previous post than "this is a fantasy game", I'm all ears. Yes a smart rogue/shadowdancer...

If you don't believe me, try it. Light up a coleman lantern and try to hide from one of your buddies with the thing in your hand. see what happens.
And again, try to cast a fireball on your budddies and see them laugh at your delusional state! Please! Comparing something like this with RL???

And so the enormous bulk of the thread heaves its weight onto page ten, already rotten to the core, yet still with a rabid light in it's one remaining eye. A filthy green mist belches from it's gangrenous lips, accompanied by the plea: 'Let meeee die!'

No see they're going out of business because Hasbro decided it wants to put its stamp directly on their products... Which means(as Actually put a huge discussion about a couple months back) more kidifying and PC bs. Hasbro already started a while ago. My nephew got a board game for christmas..... D...

Entropy - thanks for that post - I agree 100% on it. My rogue is about to level, and I feel I've been put in a position that I won't feel comfortable making him a SD (which was my plan originally). I do feel that if I make him an SD it will now be to the detriment of his roleplaying with the other p...

As a matter of interest, I just repeated a server check to see what classes were on (not something I normally do btw):

Mikona - 17 online - 0 shadowdancers
Wilderness - 16 online- 0 shadowdancers
Elysia - 6 online - 0 shadowdancers

Is HiPS so good even the server can't see them?

I recently started my first Avlis rogue after abandoning another pretty well-established non-magic char, and am already regretting the decision. I'm being made to feel that I'm walking on eggshells all the time with the amount of bitching going on about the class. My overall impression here (which I...
