Your skin color wont be all that visible in the end. The ghost elf hide that provides the green glow often masks a lot of the model features. You have to manually download it from there site. The updater checks for... well updates. at nwn.bioware.com the navigation menu should have a downloads section that pops up a list click on patches. You should be able to find the revert patch under the approriate version of NWN you have there.
