Re: Races of the Nine
He was an elf, but that's not common knowledge.
So far as most people are aware, the Nine were all human. (Some of the others had some quirks, too, that made them not quite human.)

The game was unplayable for the better part of several months of an authentication problem.
I dunno if that's fixed now.

Re: Currencies of Avlis: Conversion Values IG.
Avlissian currency is on the whole minted with metal. They're of varying levels of purity and reliability in size/form which means certain countries have more reliable (and thus more universally accepted) coinage. It's similar to how England after Newton took over the mint had the most accepted coin...

Re: After nearly 2 decades, the Avlis Sourcebook is here
While I appreciate the supportive notes, I have to admit that the writing in the current incarnation of the sourcebook isn't what we're actually capable of doing. As Orl noted we're going to work on the mechanics side first, then do a general revision of the book to live up to our own standards. A2'...

The cap is now subtracted based on how your xp changes between one kill and another, so there's no longer a double penalty for a multiclass penalty.

Damage applied to the character will always stack with damage applied to the character and damage applied to a weapon.
The only damage types that don't stack is when you apply the same damage type to a weapon twice.

Re: Nanshilae words.
Nothing odd about it...but yeah. sheloom for peace I think fits well with our standard practice. (from lit. "peace" -> "shalom") A hebrew speaker can correct me on the second one... I've gotten multiple returns on "yearning", but I think tshuka (seems to be used in a religious context) works best as...

Re: Nanshilae words.
Well let's see, the hebrew root words are sheker (lie) and shakran (liar)
sakharas (to lie), sakhar (a lie) and a sakhrin (liar) plural sahkrinen(liars).
Objections? Problems?

Re: Nanshilae words.
*Dusts off thread.*
Okay, since this seems to be a fairly common word that needs translating: "Archer"
In nanshilae the word for bow is Keeshen.
Archer will be "keeshot". (Yes, yes, derived from "kashat" or "bowman" in hebrew.)

You do realize you don't even need a batch file, right?
nwn.ini has the absolute paths for all the folders NWN uses for haks, modules, etc. data that you can just set to your present NWN folder.

Re: Avlis XP Test - Part 2
This is being addressed with the loot drop fix. However, it's a bit difficult to do it as you request, because that message was given whenever your character was saved. (The precise function was AvlisExportSingleCharacter which functions on area on enter, on resting, etc.) So instead I've just had i...
