Re: Spells
the majority were intentionally left out. Fixed. Thanks for the help Landrin. I managed to find the appropriate downloads and got all the custom content I could want. However, I now have a rather large selection of additional stuff that-as Pathos said-was left out of Avlis, but I'll get over it.

Spells
Perhaps this question has a rather obvious answer, but it's been bugging me for a while. NWN has it's own new spells-such as Energy Immunity-that for some reason aren't availible to me in my own private modules. In addition, the spells that Avlis uses-Undeath's Touch, Recitation, and the like-are no...

Re: Economic theory analysis of MMO class specialization
I have to ask then... how exactly-in your opinion-does NWN/DnD avoid the Specialized Class vs. Hybrid dispute? Is it because there are no real Specialized Classes in NWN? Is it because a fully buffed Cleric makes just as good of a tank as a Barbarian? Or is it because in NWN there are Specialized Cl...

Re: Economic theory analysis of MMO class specialization
My point was that they need to somehow give the option of multi-classing without raising the complexity. I understood that the article was pointing out the problem with Hybrids, and I was more commenting on the fact that they need to give more options in regards to class-configuration. Granted, that...

Re: Economic theory analysis of MMO class specialization
The reason that Avlis never has that problem of specialization vs. multi-talented is because essentially everyone has the ability to split away into a different area of expertise. Mages can always take Fighter levels to beef up their combat skills, Fighters can always take a few levels in a spell-ca...

Re: Economic theory analysis of MMO class specialization
Very interesting article. Anyone who merely looked at the link but didn't actually read it should go back and check it out.

Re: Touch Attack
I understand that there are different variables that affect whether the touch-attack is a success or a failure, but I wanted to know the entire calculation. As in: 1d20 + Highest Attack Bonus + spell level vs. AC/2. Does anyone know the actual calculations?

Touch Attack
How, exactly, is touch attack calculated? From my understanding it side-steps some of the target's AC, but I was curious what the actual calculations were. Thanks for any answers.

Re: fire, ice, shocking and acid resistance and vulnerability
10% off of every hit adds up. When you get hit 100+ times, even 1 damage makes a difference. Only too true. Dmg immunity to anything, no matter how little, is an excellent thing to have. It can especially help when a certain dungeon has an element-theme to the NPC's Dmg type. For instance, you're i...

Auto-Attacks and the like...
This might be a hard-coded type issue, but here goes: I find it annoying that Greater Sanctuary gets frequently ruined by my character doing an automatic retaliatory type attack. This happens when you are using Greater Sanctuary and you encounter truesighters or when NPC hears you and casts See Inv...
