Try right clicking on your NWN icon and selecting run as administrator. My NWN won't run without doing that. I R on Vista too. I feel your pain!!

what about when artifacing? should I wait the required 20 minutes between rests to recharge my spells so I can scribe scrolls even though I am inside player housing and not doing anything else?

Fire Rage. I didn't really have much choice in the beginning, the potions for the fire rage were the only rage path items I could find. by the time I found any other type of rage item I had so much invested it would have made no sense to change then.

UMD doesn't help artifaced scrolls, but stock ones (that show as "This xxx scroll was penned by an unknown person. Caster Level: Minimum") get the +1 caster level per 5 base ranks of UMD. I know the bonus is added to AC, but what are the other reasons to have a high wisdom?
